The real problem

You're not failing them. You're improvising.

Almost every parent wants to teach their kids about money. The hard part isn't caring. It's knowing what to teach, when to introduce it, how much responsibility your child is ready for, and what comes next.

"What do I even teach?"

There's no syllabus for money at home, so it comes out as scattered comments that never quite stick.

"Is my child ready for this?"

Hand over too much freedom too soon and it backfires. Too little, and they never get to practise.

"What comes next?"

One good conversation is easy. A path that keeps building judgement, year after year, is the part no one hands you.

Moneyhood™ removes the guesswork. It's a structured system for gradually handing over money responsibility, so your child practises real decisions while the stakes are still small.

The Moneyhood™ method

Why this builds judgement, not just knowledge

Every lesson runs the same loop, and every level widens the decision your child owns. That's how facts turn into judgement. It takes about ten minutes a week, and the app tells you exactly what to say.

Step 1, Understand: one simple idea Step 2, Experience: real money, real practice Step 3, Decide: the child makes the call Step 4, Reflect: talk about what happened

And the decision grows with them

Choice · Level 1

Choose between known options

Spend it or keep it? The first real, small decision.

Plan · Level 2

Allocate across time

A budget on paper. Trade-offs they can actually see.

Judgement · Level 3

Weigh competing priorities

Their own plan. You step back. The habit stays.

Your first week

See the first change in days, not months

You don't wait to feel the value. Your first Money Week gives your child a real decision to make this week, with you guiding, not rescuing.

1

Set the first Money Day

Pick a day. Your child receives and counts their own money, using the printable Money Day sheet.

2

Run the first lesson

Ten minutes together. The app tells you the idea, the activity, and the exact words to say.

3

Let them make one real call

They spend, save or wait, and live with it. That's their first independent money decision.

By the end of week one, your child has already made a real decision, and you have a plan for what comes next.

What each part does for you

Every piece solves a real problem

3 levels, one path

You always know what's appropriate for your child right now, and what comes next.

Parent guidance built in

You know what to say and how to introduce it, even the tricky questions kids ask.

Hands-on activities & printables

Your child learns by doing, with real (or pretend) money, not by sitting through a lecture.

3 child profiles

Up to three children can each work through their own level at their own pace, all on one payment.

And yes, it's 36 lessons in total, but you never teach 36 classes. Moneyhood™ simply tells you what to introduce next.

The offer

Get the whole system for less than three levels

Bought on their own, the three levels come to $57. The Complete programme is $39, and it's the natural place to start.

Before you decide

Your questions, answered

Is my child the right age?

Level 1 starts at age 5 and Level 3 runs to 16. You begin at the level that fits your child now, and each lesson matches what they're ready for.

Do we need to give an allowance?

No. You can use real money or pretend money. The point is the decision, not the amount, so it works whatever your family does about allowance.

What if I'm not good with money myself?

That's common, and it's fine. You're not teaching from expertise. Each lesson gives you the exact words to say, so you and your child learn together.

How much time does this take?

About ten minutes, once a week. There's no prep: Moneyhood™ tells you what to introduce and how, so you just show up and guide.

Will my child actually enjoy it?

Kids like being trusted with a real decision. Lessons are short and hands-on, and each one ends with a choice that's genuinely theirs.

Can siblings be at different stages?

Yes. The web app includes 3 child profiles, so up to three children can each work through their own level at their own pace, all on one payment.

How do refunds work?

Because Moneyhood™ is digital and you get immediate access, all sales are final. That's why we show you the app, the guidance and the printables before you buy. If you were charged incorrectly or can't access your purchase, email support@themoneyhood.com. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
